B Class Advice

Hi All

I am thinking of purchasing a newish B class which I know absolutely nothing about and I would appreciate any honest opinions.

Are there any know faults?

I know the A class has a Nissan engine is this the same with the B class?

What size engine would you recommend?

Hi,

We have a 2015 (W246). B180 diesel. A lovely car with a surprising amount of room..
This engine in this is a bit lacking, cruises very well and does pick up but not enough for those overtakes and “need to be quick off the mark” situations. It does return 50mpg and more on long steady runs and 40 around town.
We had the 2.1 d in a 2016 A class which was a better engine imho.
