Had to give up and sell my mercedes powered P100 pickup truck due to a change of circumstances, I have now bought a 1972 Mercedes 220 off ebay, un MOT'd and unseen.

Yes i know how stupid that is especially as its very tatty, but i love em, and it was cheap, picking it up saturday so i'll see how bad it is the i guess, at least it runs (apparently)

Good luck with your 1972 220. I have one here in Tasmania that is a fairly tidy car that I am thinking of bringing with me to the UK. I would be interested to know how likely I would be to keep it going in the UK, and roughly what you think it is worth. It has only a little bit of minor rust in a few places (no salt on the roads here). I have just had all of the bottom end of the engine done a few months ago. The rest of the engine was overhauled about 70,000 miles ago. I drive it to Hobart, which is over 100 miles from here once or twice a week, and it is a good little car.
