Yes, run the 300d on it. Ran the e300 on it until it was written off and will run the new car on it as well when it is collected (thats an e300 td 124)

Depends on which I have. WVO takes a bit of time to make as I filter it first and it isn't that quick going through the filters. I have quite a stock of SVO in my dining room at the mo as found some in the summer for 60ppl so I bought absolute rucks of it.

I did an experiment with lard as well, which was interesting.

Lard smelled like crackling as I was driving down the road and there was a bit of white smoke but it worked ok, performance seemed unaffected (cars incredibly slow normally) but I was a little wary of the fuel lines clogging. I had a baby's bottle heater on the fuel filter and removed the pre-filter and this was in the summer so it was reasonably warm. The lard was heated and dissolved into veg oil and then this new mixture was mixed 4:1 with dino-diesel. This new fuel didn't gel until it was below 5 degrees so it could, theoretically, work but I haven't the time to test further and I felt like a gutlord when I was going into Morrisons and buying 20kg of lard.

hi, i registered with HC&EXCISE to use veg oil, designed the pere heat kit and change over to normal diesel for starting etc. i then found out from an educated experienced source that major pump failure occurs and replacement / repair costs put the idea into short term gain long term pain. unless it's an old banger and you intend getting rid once the pump fails. replacement pumps and or repair are circa £1500. the filters suffer and the "o-rings" are nitrile phenolic rubber and will be attacked by vegioil, sucking air and then leaking. herbiemercman.

that depends what sort of pump you have, old mercs are perfectly happy to run on veg oil for thousands of miles, dunno aout the new ones, but since last year when everyone else caught on veg oil is now the same price as deisel anyway.
