Hi all.

This is my first post.

I just bought a Mercedes-Benz 300E-24V with the full 3.6 Brabus Conversion
it would be the 285HP version with a 5 speed Aut. transmision.
i checked it at the top of the engine so that i was sure the top seal was ok.
the car is generly in wery good condition and the top sealing was actualy done just 40.000 Km ago. it was replaced with the AMG sealing as it is the same, just easier to get and not so ekspensive as the Brabus price.

My question is:

how does the Brabus tempomatik system work? when i push the 2 bottons i can see the outside temp, but when i push the other one "oil temp i think" it just show ( -78 ) all the time. what is wrong here?

Can enyone tell me where i can find the original engine specification and performance figurs.
How fast is the car 0-100Km/t and what are the top speed?
I don´t feel like trying to find out the top speed

If i like, could i then install a regular speedomiter to 260Km/t insteed of the 300Km/t or would it show a wrong speed?
i have 18" Carlson alu wheels on it with 255/35-18 tires at the back and 235/35-18 at the front.

i hope the user M600 have some onfo, since i know he has the same engine, just in the 190 Mercedes.:-D

Put your VIN number in here and you will get the spec as it left the factory.

http://www.mbclub.ru/mb/vin/
Then do an internet search and you will get all of the answers

Thank you.

But the reason why i ask here,
is because i don´t get enything on the VIN number as i allready tried the rusian member site :)
and there is a good reason for that, because you don´t get the modifications done after the car left Mercedes, and you don´t get the Specification on the Performance at their site either.

I have found thousand of technical data and perfomance figurs on serveral W124 modified by brabus but it´s all about the 300E M103 engine.

There is nothing to find on my model M104 with the 24 valves engine.
only cars for sale as mine and some pictures but nothing on the specs :s

Can someone please help me here?

I think a letter to Brabus asking this question would give you most of the answers. Why not send them a nice photo and ask the for a copy of the build sheet and details of performance figures? I'd expect them to be helpful

Hmm.
i know for sure the car is a 3.6-24 Brabus because i have all the history on the car, even the orginal order from Brabus with the price list, but without the specs. etc.
And i just did 270 in it on a closed freeway :) damn that Brabus rocks.
I also have a dokument that specifies some repairs, like a complete head job. done by a profesionel.
Thats why i know the head casket from the 300E-24 3.6 AMG version is the same, because thats the head casket im driving with now. The mekanic even told me that the AMG casket has a lot biggere holes or flow.
and the price is nothing compared to the Brabus price.
The AMG casket was only 1200 DKR. = 130 USD.
When i just got the car, it smoked a lot under acceleration, and i have only refiled with the Castrol RS 10-60W Super oil.
But i hope the user M600 can tell me some info :)
I just don´t have a word for, haw happy i am for the car :-D

Yes you have your pride and joy in your nice big Scandinavian garage (heated)

I learnt how to build nice garages in Sweden where I lived for 15 years, so my little baby (SL500) is just as warm and cost as yours, and loved just as much, just been down and looked and its still there. Dreams can come true.
