Hello. Could someone advise me on which brake discs to buy for my C250 TD (MY 1998, 28,000 miles). They're all pretty much shot - probably due to lack of use (only 28k miles covered - and probably short journeys) and are going to need replacing for my next MOT. My independent has told me to go for Merc originals but I'm not sure as original parts for cars aren't always the best - (see Porsche).
Any advice on discs and pads and anything else would be gratefully received!

Hello, and welcome to the forum.
You will be able to obtain discs and pads for your car from most motor factors at a cheaper price than MB but the quality of some aftermarket parts can be suspect, so for such an important thing as brake parts be careful as brake fade in an emergency braking situation is far from funny.
Eurocarparts and GSF are two good sources of parts for these cars and both stock original equipment quality parts at good prices.

Stealers are usually very reasonable for brake parts.

Last year I bought a pair of front disks along with pads and wear sensors for my 220cdi for about £100 including VAT.

IIRC the disks were a little over £20 each plus VAT. Mine were solid though but if yours are the vented type they will be more expensive.
