buying a 200te

hi all i am thinking about getting a 200te j reg. i dont know much about this car and cant find much info either. has anybody got any ideas on the fuel economy and the towing abilities as i have quite a large caravan. also any other advice would be helpful ie things to be looking out for before i buy. thanx vey much, dusty.

Hi Dusty,

If you're considering towing, I wouldn't touch the 200TE, it's just not up to the task. Better to spend a bit more money and opt for a 280, 300 or 320, a bit heavy on the petrol, but you won't burn anything out!

As starlite, the body is the same weight for all of the engines.

A 200TE can't evene take 5 people without struggling (I have one, I know) so forget it for a large caravan!
