Buying a LHD SLK 230K

I have itchy feet, my e-Class is too big (the ML is enough for the kids) and I think I am up for an SLK. I have managed to find a reasonable price on a 97 SLK 200 Manual but I am concerned that it's under powered and manual. I have talked to Brabus who have two kits (lovely stuff) but cost a fortune and don;t add as much power as a 230K has already.

Does anyone have good advice on picking up a LHD SLK230K for around £13k?

Why LHD

If you're just buying LHD because it's cheaper why bother. You can get a RHD 230 for £13k if you look around - try autotrader. Obviously this is not the best time to buy it though. Autumn would be better.

Thanks for the reply, you are right I am trying to save as much as poss on the move. The best I can find on AutoTrader is about £15-16k for a RHD 230, have you any URLs for 13k?

Just had a look on Autotrader. There is one at £12995, but as you say most seem to be about £15k up. But remember it's a buyer's market at the moment and there's a new model SLK out next year, so there may be room for negotiation.
