Could anyone give any advice on the running costs of a 3-5 year old SL55 AMG? I appreciate that with this type of car the general response is often "if you have to ask you can't afford.." but changes in the tax/fuel etc have put fully maintained, low mileage models in the 25-35k bracket.
I've heard of routine 4k service bills, 10mpg and tyres lasting a couple of thousand miles - I suspect the truth isn't so bad and this is the place to ask.
My cars are always daily drivers and I don't go outside the franchises. I know from past experience that if something 'breaks', even the trivial gadgets, the cost would probably run into thousands.
