buying my first ml 270

i am looking at buying a used ml270 on a 51 - 52 plate i have seen quite a few for sales with reasonably high milege 75,000 - 95,000.
is this a average milege for this vehicle ? and if so what are the service intervals and at what milege does the cam belt need changing ?

I'll tell you this much. Trek around the back and look at the space where the number plate sits. Top right hand corner under lip with number plate lights in. Is there signs of bubbling in the paint work. There is on my 04 plate and it looks bad.

Suggest you check your service manual, if you have one. Services are dictated by your vehicle's computer which will either give you a mileage to next service or time to next service, presuming the system was reset after its last service. Needs servicing at least once a year generally IMO with a good quality synthetic engine oil. Mobil 1 5/50 seems to be an oil of general choice.
You DON'T have a cambelt, so don't need to change it!!

Hi just looked on ebay 57 for sale 5 been sold year 2000 sold for £4911,£5000,£5850 year 2002 sold for £7608 & 2003 sold for £8500 which is better than I expected, average milage for these five is 90,000 miles,
assist say that mine needs a service every 13000 miles which I do my self the main problem is the auto box oil which won't be changed with any MB service.
I bought mine with 148,000 miles two years ago & now as 195,000 miles Iv'e have had some problems but never had it back to MB
What might you be using an ML for

will be using it for general use and the wife wants to get a caravan so looking at getting something with enough power and size to pull it well.
found a 2002 on a 02 plate on autotrader for £7200 full mb service history just been services 4 months mot its got 90000 miles though.
but it looks like its just come out the showroom not one mark inside or out as had just two owners the last was a lady owner for the last couple of years.
i am picking it up tomorrow will post and let you all know what its like .

first little problem very small ,
got the car home and the passenger front door does not lock with the central locking ?

the seller did say it was a intermittent fault sometimes it locks other times it dont.

any thing i can check ? all the other doors open and close fine

the car is very smooth snd very quiet especially for the size of the car very happer with it just this lock problem

just been in my mates ml and noticed it as a trip computer at high level which mine has not , i have seen some replacment items on a auction site and was wondering if these will fit on my vehicle ? ( is the wiring harness there ready) or is it not that straight forward ?
