So is it going to stay on the split rims or return to the 600 wheels?

I can use the 600 wheels while the AMG's are refurbished, as these do have the edge over the 600 wheels, well I think so ;)

I agree, wish I had a set for my CL rather than the 18" version.

Well done Malc - a pleasant read with a happy ending.

Now, come sale time (whenever that may be) post this thread to Gordon's inbox and you may have the next buyer lined up :D.

Ha ha ..I did think the same... just for a fleeting moment. ..

A good move to down size from 7 bedrooms to 7 bedrooms, it will make my house seen like a tent :D

Good work Malcolm! I've missed the middle part of this thread - didn't think I'd been that absent!

I think all the thoughts have been covered. We only pass this way once - the new "old" one won't depreciate much, so nowt to lose really!

Fingers crossed for you!

It took me 5.5 hrs to get back from High Wycombe last Saturday! 27 degrees at one point..... And not all of it attributed to the burning wreck of an old VW Combi! :)

On the plus side, I ducked off the M4 at Chippenham to avoid the M5/Bristol log-jam... Got the roof open, some nice stretches to dispatch a few slow-movers... Salvaged something from the day!
