C Class Electric Tailgate

Folks,

I can open the tailgate remotely but is it possible to close it remotely? This may have been asked before but I can't find any pertinent info.

Supposedly you can press and hold the “boot open” button.
It doesn’t work on my E class, but as I am at the tailgate anyway; having put something in, I just press the close button.

Press and hold the boot button but you need to be closer than you would to open it for some reason

Edit that’s for a estate boot not for a saloon they only open from the remote

I don't think they do close remotely on the S204 , I think they do on the S205 but you still have to have Keyless Go .

Thanks for the replies, as I thought I don't have keyless go and it's a S 204 so even a long press from close by does nothing.

That clears that up for me

Saloon does not have a tailgate.

My S204 opened and closed remotely from the key remote and wasn’t keyless go

I'm very interested in that if remembered accurately !

So far mine my powered tailgate opens from the key but not close from the key , should I be pressing the key tailgate open button or lock button or both ?

Tailgate closes with button on the tailgate .

Tailgate opens with ignition on pressing the drivers interior top part of button ( this is one press ) and closes not with one press but holding down the lower part of the button .

No electric tailgate fault codes read by iCarsoft .

In the manual the key tailgate button is only described as "unlock" and not both .

Came across that way

Had i not added the part at the end then you would have been perfectly entitled to take it that way whether I actually meant it that way or not.
I didn't mean it that way so added the part at the end so that it should not have been open to interpretation, but apparently you have still chosen to take it in the manner which was not my intention.
I was correct in what I said though...a saloon does not have a tailgate.

Best ask newbie @noswad who has exactly that model and year what his does .

I'm also very interested in any extra features a AMG Sport Pus has over a AMG Sport .

I remember somewhere Plus commanded a £1000 premium .

There not a massive difference mine had the pano roof , intelligent headlights , the black silver AMG wheels etc was a great motor and also the 250

button #2 on the fob (as above) both opens & closes the tail gate on my ML ... like wise the R Class before it
