i have got back pressure in rad, but not a great deal, could it be over filled with coolant and not enough room for expansion,the car does not over heat,or is the head gasket on its way, and if so are they easy to change

A faulty head gaskit will give almost boiling effect, the cooling system gets blown up by the leaking head gaskit. Excess coolant normally escapes through the presurised cap on the header tank. If you don't fancy doing it right now you can leave the filler can loose for now, only for short intrim period, and do not go down the motorway 200 miles.
