Just looking into getting one of the above - esprit or sport, i know this probably isn't the right forum, but am wondering what sort of thing to look out for mechanicaly and electrically. Thanks all
My parents have a '96 C180 with around 128,000 km under its belt which hasn't had any problems. However, British cars seem to be more troublesome. Or maybe it's just the driving style which makes a difference.
Hi,
I had a 95 C220 Elegance for several years and my dad now has it. I can't think of anything to be concerned about particularly. He's still very happy with it, though he has just had to put a new cat on it. They were the last of the concrete mercs in my view. Thats why there's still so many around. Same rules as buying anything, Just check the history and get it assessed by a specialist.
Ah, yes one minor thing, the central locking remote control button wears and sometimes stop working for no apparent reason. Often the computer needs a reset but sometimes you need a new remote. So make sure you test them. It can be a pain as the keyhole is on the passenger side!
