C180 de cat

hi got a c180 Kompressor the cars got 2 cats on the one near

if take that cat out will light come on

The engine management light should not come on as the sensors for it are immediately in front and behind the cat at the front of the system so will not detect anything behind the downstream one.

I would however suggest that the item you have circled is not actually a cat but another box, possible a resonator, possibly a silencer (muffler). I would also question the reason for removal as I don't think that there will be many gains...

Looks like a resonator, you might gain about 2 bhp and a world of horrible sound

I wouldn't bother. The power difference will be negligible if at all.
Modern cats have very very little resistance to flow.
