C180 Elegance interior panel question

Hi im new here so go easy guys lol

I have just bought an 1994 C180 elegance for my wife to run round in and was wandering is there any blanking panels to get rid of the 6 cassette holders underneath the stereo.

Is there anything else I should watch for with the C180 ?

Mine has a “box” for sunglasses, same as in picture, below radio, you could get one from dealer or scrap yard, don’t know about an insert, it would need to match the surrounding woodwork.

Regarding things to watch out for,
Lubricate wiper mechanism, important to prevent problems developing, see how-to, DIY section… http://forums.mercedesclub.org.uk/showthread.php?t=26200
Electric window motors can be troublesome at that age of car.
Cylinder head gasket can leak around 65k miles.
Not bad rust wise, keep an eye on wheel arches, bottom of doors, and bottom edge of boot lid.

All in all, a very reliable sturdy car. Good luck with it.
