Hi,
I have a 'new generation' C Class coupe (180 kompressor) that is developing a persistent whining noise from what appears to be one of the belts in the engine bay (it gets faster as the car accelerates). My local Mercedes garage initally informed me that the belt was checked, taken off and was passed as fine. 'Compounds' were added to alleviate anything that mayeb causing the noise. However this noise returned the next day after the car had been returned and I am now informed by the same garage that the belt needs replacing at a cost of nearly £120.00
Can anyone advise as to whether there is a cheaper solution to this ?
