C180 1998 lacked performance , kick down etc when on petrol and lpg.Also miss fired when cold, anyway went to an independent garage and they knew it was the air mass metre straight away as mercs and vw suffer from this problem.£349 (£182 for part) plus labour and vat.Not to bad i guess as car 100% better. :lol:

Not really :-( these are circa £110 from a Bosch distributor and 5 minutes to fit yourself.

Actually £170 sounds a bit heavy for fitting - it is a 10 min job, but I suspect there is a diagnostics charge and probably VAT too. As far as parts costs are concerned, I've seem prices from £50 to £300 quoted - presumably depending on the part number. Mine was £250 for the part plus diagnosis and fitting. I had an o2 sensor at the same time so I don't know what the cost breakdown was, but the total was around £500

part was a bosh one £180 plus labour and checks plus vat........labour was 1 and half hours as tht fault does not show on any computers. no fault codes shown so u just have to try it.runs fab now so money i guess well spent
