Hi all

I am new to the forum and own a W202 C220 Cdi. Excellent car until one of the injectors developed a leak, this was replaced but upon close examination the number 3 injector was going in the same direction. The problem I have now is that this injector will not come out, I think the garage initially tried removing it without a special tool and may have damaged it. They then tried removing this with a special tool but it refuses to come out.

They now suggest removing the head which will cost a lot. Has anyone experienced similar problems and is there any other way to remove this injector.

Thanks

Hello, try this!!!!
Disconnect the crankshaft sensor so it wont start, and with the plug and pipe and clamp of the stuck injector, then hold a block of wood over the injector firmly then get some to crank it over, the pressure build up should fire the injector out, but make sure you hold the wood firmly and stop cranking as sone as in moves. some fuel will come out of the fuel rail so put some rag over that.

its a bit cowboy ish but offten works, this same technic can be used for glow plus that are stuck in after they are unsrewed.

You would have to remove the injecter to get the cam cover off to remove the head so it needs to come out.
