C220d 2019 automatic gearbox service interval and cost

Hi

My April 2019 c220d estate 9 speed auto is coming up for 5 years old. It has covered 27000 miles.
I'm unsure of the service interval for the gearbox. Can anyone advise - is it 5 years?
If so, what is the likely cost from dealer and independent?
I've called MB Edinburgh about it and they seemed unsure what the interval should be for servicing it, which doesn't exactly inspire confidence!

Any help, advice most welcome and thanks in advance.

Thank you. I've now done that and it says change oil and oil filter every 77,500 miles or 5 years. So it needs done.

It doesn't give any indication of cost. Has anyone had this done with their similar car/model and is able to tell me what they paid?

I had this discussion with MB when mine turned five years and it is now just 77,500 miles regardless of age. There was a thread on here about it and others have confirmed that now.

Since I posted MB Edinburgh phoned me back at 5pm today and told me the opposite of what you have - that it needs done at 5 years regardless of mileage...

I think that's incorrect, pretty sure its mileage based only for the 9 speed box. Mine has 45,000 miles and had never been done, still working perfectly.
Don't think its cheap either, I'd imagine Mercedes would want £500 at least.

A little frustrating to see the confusion here. I had similar issues with my last car, a Skoda Superb, where I had one dealer telling me one thing, while others told me another. I'd hoped that it might be simpler with MB, but clearly not.

It will come up on the dash as service A/B 7,8 or 9, somewhere between 70,000 and 85,000 miles depending on how ASSYST decides you drive. At my shop it’s circa £360 all in.

Last service was B1. So it's a long way off if this is right.

To avoid all the nonsense id recommend you just have it done . I paid £380 at an indie. My e350 9g showed as service a5 or a9 can't remember now , around 90 days before the car was 5 . However my GLC coupe 9g didn't give any warning,but mercedes did it for Me as part of a service plan

Exactly juat get it donw for peace of mind. Also ignore the MB say once at 30 million miles or 10 years.

Its a machined part, full of metal and needs clean oil to keep it going well.

MB want you to buy another car. They dont you driving a well maintained older car.

Thanks both last posters. Indeed, I'm going to have it done regardless as even though I doubt I'll still have the car in another 5 years, I'll have my mind put at rest by knowing I've done it now.

9g box service intervals

Yes, I know we've covered this many times before but even the staff at Mercedes Southampton can't agree. When I booked the service, I specifically asked about the auto-box oil change and, after 10 minutes of investigation, the booking desk said yes it is due now (car just coming up to 5 years...

Nailed on you would of let mb do it as part of a service,even after this forum users confirmation. Long before 77,500 miles if they agreed to it as they did to mine . Both 9g wonder why that is ??
