Mercedes in their ultimate wisdom do not seem to believe that a dipstick is necessery and I have to rely on the engine oil level sensor.
My old V220 had to have its oil level sensor replaced as it was giving false high readings.
Is it possible to retro-fit a normal dipstick?

The Dipstick is a workshop tool on the W203 .... Maybe something to get and keep in your boot. Be nice to your dealer  they might give you the part number

dip stick

hi

this is not a specific dip stick for the car or engine. the dipstick is calibrated to measure mm of oil like a flexible ruler if required I can get the dipstick No but you need to know what is the spec for your car C220 cdi is not specific enough as the engines were made in two different plants and both have different specs
