c270cdi fuel leak

hi can anybody help

i have a fuel leak on my c270 cdi its seems to be coming from what looks like a black and white valve thing on the top of the engine directly by the heater plugs

the leak seems to be coming directly out of the centre of the plunger looking device please can anybody help with this solutions/ideas on what causing this

the item in question is called a cdi blanking plug it costs around a fiver, part number from merc is a6110780331 i take it its white, new one is black, just clamp the plastic gray jacket around it and pull the old one out, refitting, push new one in, some dealers want to sell complet pipe, hence part number, norm in stock, think thats your prob, common bout 3 year old....
