I bought the 10 plate about 4 months ago after owning 5 imprezas before that, my last one running around 350 brake.The 350 cdi is the 231 brake version. It has had 2 owners before me. The car feels much faster than 231 brake so I got in touch with the last owner who told me it hadn,t been remapped. Do you think that its high torque makes it feel much more powerful? Still getting it remapped though. Loving the car. Steve.

Torque is epic and some when remapped around 700Nm I believe .

A chap I barely knew back in the 90's with a white chipped Sapphire Cossie , if he wanted a brisk drive he would attach a magnetic large blue flashing light on top , I nearly ****ed myself when he did this and disapeared up the road at speed .

231bhp derv should be pretty rapid but a mapped one would definitely be more so , if the mapper your thinkin of using is any good , he will know by lookin at the current file installed on the ECU if its been altered at all

I had a magnetic blue light in the early 90's, for use on unmarked vehicles. Unfortunately above about 70mph they slide back across the roof, so were eventually banned. We were then issued stick on screen strobes, which were much brighter.

The 350CDI is a very fast car even in the 232bhp version. I had one for 8 years (E Coupe) and, although it wasn't as fast as my current 367bhp petrol car, it seemed fast because it did it all so easily and without any fuss (not like an AMG-tuned twin turbo V6 ).

The first owner sold the car 6 years ago but I will try to contact him.

Dynos can vary wildly , here's an already tuned Audi 3.0 tdi , days apart .
