Fuel consumption slowly rising, thought it was my driving - traffic - holdups etc. Arriving at Taunton I found front offside disc very hot, I could feel the radiated heat some feet away.
Straight round to local main dealer, who were having a very busy Monday morning, within ten mins. car was on the lift and a seized caliper confirmed.
My wife, myself and our dog were taken home, parts ordered and my car was delivered to me two days later.
The slight delay being caused by having to strip down the caliper, photographing the problem (seized piston) and sending photo's to the insurance company that underwrites the warranty.
The service manager phoned to apologise for the inconvienence, said that they had checked the other brakes too, which were OK and hoped I found all was fine, I did.
Not a techie thread, just giving credit to MB Taunton for a good job done.
(Wonder what the cost would have been without the warranty?)
