Hi guys, hope you are all well, newbie here,
I got a 2012 mb A160, today started the car went somewhere, turned it off, all was fine, after shopping tried to start it again and message popped up, cannot measure oil level and engine wouldn't crank at all. Everything else is working, just engine won't crank like there's no engine at all. What that can be?

Thank you all

You need the codes read of the car by a mercedes knowledgable being to help diagnose the problem.
Where are you located, there maybe a good indy near you that a member can recommend.

First rule of MB ownership. Find and befriend a good MB indy.

Try dropping 500cl oil into the engine and see if that will get you mobile, then as ^+1 as above.

50cl (or 0.5lt) top up and check again.

I never noticed your faux pas until it was pointed out .... just stick with Imperial units ;) ;)

Turned up to be a faulty relay, I switched two relays, starter and fuel pump and now it cranks but won't start, disconnected fuel filter hoses and no fuel coming out with engine cranking. I'll change the relay and hopefully that'll be all, the cannon measure oil level disappeared after switching relays, stupid merc engineers

If anyone has similar problems- check relays, big chance that diagnostic won't give any correct fault codes, mine threw up transmission error codes with few others, I changed starter and fuel pump relays and car works as normal. Must be mercedes relays from dealer, others that I bought in few deferent shops didn't work at all.
