My CLK 320 insurance only covers non standard car stereo up to £350. Mine would cost £2000 to replace, anyone know of an insurance Co. that covers just car Hi Fi ?

Your own insurance should be able to cover it but you will need to tell them that the car has been modified and list the radio. I have my wheels stereo and spoiler listed as modifications.

When you think about it, the DVD/Satnav setup in a modern Mercedes (Comand, etc) would cost more than £2k to replace

On that basis the aftermarket equipment should attract no extra premium - but somehow I think that idea will cut no ICE with the insurers!

What's that, Terry Wogan in AMercedes ? Wot a sad combination.

Terry Wogan is on Radio 2 - I mistakenly tuned in one morning, took me weeks to get over it. Radio 4 wouldnt allow that sort of loose talk....anyone seen my monacle...?

lol - actually I have always listened to R4 - in a variety of Alfa's, Nissan 200sx's etc etc. I just like getting the new on the way to work and on the way back. Without any of the inane twaddle you gat on other talk radio stations.

When the news is over I either listen to the V8 or to CD's

I like Boxsters (and Caymans more) but couldn't be bothered with one here in Cenral London.

...and I have NAD or Denon setups in four of my rooms at home plus more basic systems in one of the spare rooms and in my home office.

I just like listening to talk radio in the car. And listening to that engine too......
