Not even turning over and a humming sound coming from the abs pump could it be a safety feature that it won't allow to start scratching my head

get a voltmeter across the battery and tell us what is says

Abs pump will not cause a non- start.
Your problem is elsewhere.
If it's not turning over listen for a click as the key is turned to the start position.
Are dash lights coming on?

Several local car owners are hitting problems because they use their car so infrequently and for just local journeys during the pandemic. A C-tek or similar would solve their problems, but surprisingly they would rather not spend. Some don't realize that a neglected battery is actually costing them money with a shorter life (the battery, not the owner).
