Car Seat

In the W208 I have it says (booklet) that if a car seat is fitted to the front seat it will detect it and turn the air bags off?

So...

1. What type of car seat (wife will kill me if we have to change the one we just bought...)

2. Is there any kind of fittings needed

3. Will it just work with it detecting the weight or not?

We have a little one due Aug although we have other cars this is my main running around car and ill be looking after the baby in the day

Mother care had a range of seats that turn the air bag off, and there are some others that do this, it must be worth doing a google search

The car seats need a transponder in them to be sensed by the car.

The transponders turn up on ebay so you can use your exsisting seat and the transponder, failing that buy a second hand mercedes seat on ebay remove the transponder and use your own seat.

otherwise buy a new seat from mercedes but be warned they are very expensive.
