car wont start every moring

1990 300te wagon with 222000 miles

ok heres my stituation..........when the car started i have to shift & play the gears either put it to neutral or in between park & reverse.... i am thinking may be the neutral switch ? starter? the ignition?
i tried hooking the car to a power supply may be the batt is bad but still the same, all electric components work even AC, lights & horn ....i tried rocking the car back & forth .. still wont start.. dont know what to do HELP ... any advice????????

as i said during the moring i have to do this ritual to start the car, but when it runs the car will be ok the whole day , till the next day again

What is the car and what year? The reason I ask is that I had a similar problem and it turned out to be a faulty OVP relay, but not all cars have them.

its a 1990 300te wagon .. yeah i am thinking about the relay too. i check those fuse behind the battery. the fuse is OK ... abt where can i locate the OVP relay ?

Its behind the plastic cover at the rear of the battery--the one withe fuse in top --the joints inside get dry and act up --sometimes they can be soldered?
