Can someone help a Yank with a carb question?
We have a 1978 Mercedes Benz 200 -- 4 cyl. gas. It appears to have been imported directly to the Middle East from Germany before finding its way to the States. I'm told it's a common model on your side of the pond. It's rare here.
Question: What grade of lubricant is used in the carb, in what I'm told is the "dash pot"? This one seems low or empty and I don't know what to replace it with.

Any help greatly appreciated.

This takes Auto Trans Fluid - ATF. Its red.
If you can set the stromberg carb to the 200 -115 engine successfully then you will be one of a very few people in the world! If you do, please tell me how. I have been playing with mine to get it perfect for years. Most dealers and independents recommend upgrading the carb to solex type, but im convinced i can make this one work perfectly!
