CarPlay help!!

Good afternoon

I recently became the proud owner of a 2019 19 plate C220d AMG Line saloon.

I love the car but I’m struggling to suss out the car play.

after doing some playing around I’ve come to the assumption that my model simply doesn’t have it. But the internet says it does.

I’m confused and would really appreciate some help.

I’ve found it on my iPhone XS as a CarPlay vehicle. But nowhere on my screen do I see anything relating to it.

it’s a later model with the bigger wider display if that helps. It’s also not a premium model. Just a normal AMG Line.

Hello and welcome

Do you need to plug it in for it to work? I’ve had a few hire cars where CarPlay only works when I connect a USB lead to my iPhone

when I plug my usb in nothing comes up.

Try with an original apple cable...mine was working with my iphone8 changed to an 11 and it wouldn’t until I’d used an original cable...it’s fine on any other cable now...go figure - worth a try good luck
