I have a 2003 350 Sl and so far it's needed 3 new catalytic convertors. It's only done 40,000 miles. Is this a fault with the SL? I have a service contract so the replacement cost (very substantial!) has been covered. The contract expires in 2009 so my concern is that replacement of catalyic convertors is an on going problem.
