Any suggestions as to likely cause(s), things to try? The rear battery is fully charged.
Thank you-sounds expensive. What else would not work if PSE pump fails?PSE Pump.
Its at the lowest point in the boot floor, surrounded by a foam material that absorbs and holds water which will eventually kill the pump.
They can also fail if the vanes in the pump break up and jam it or if the motor brushes wear down.
Again thank you. I will go out and explore these.Roof, boot soft close...
Quite depressing picking up the foam and squeezing what seems like gallons of water out from a wet car. The smell tends to stick with you for awhile as well.PSE Pump.

You'd think they'd have learnt from the r129.first class design again... and SAME thing happens to the Aclass. tho this is caused when th rubbish designed rear washer pipe falls off and all the water collects in the pump
Thank you, I will have a hunt around. At least now I can get in there with central locking active again.Look under rear seat, there are two relays one works the roof, one works the roll bar,Is it damp or wet there? If yes, then that's the problem.
Thank you for the advice. I have noticed that when I operate the roof switch, the windows drop a little and then immediately go back up. Should that tell me something? You may need to clear any fault codes to get it working again.
Suggests something isn't being detected in the sequence or something is out of step or the electronics thinks there is a fault.Thank you for the advice. I have noticed that when I operate the roof switch, the windows drop a little and then immediately go back up. Should that tell me something?
