central locking

1995 Mercedes E220 W124 estate central locking has suddenly stopped working. But if i lock driver's door on inside it does lock all the doors. My fob has stopped working but up until this morning if i used the key in the passenger door or boot lock it would lock all doors. Now it does not! I just had to have a snapped key taken out of the ignition and the ignition repaired. It was after this repair that the problem started. Would it be related? Please advise. Thanks

This could just be the switch on the drivers door if the doors all lock from the inside switch, and just a coincidence with the ignition switch

As the inside switch when pressed locks all doors it is not a problem with the wiring or the central locking pump. But why now does using the key (on the outside) not lock all the doors. Using the key in the boot lock or the passenger side door used to lock all other doors and now does not. There is no lock on the outside of the drivers door. It only locks on this side using the fob (which now does not work!)

A master switch is fitted to the drivers door handle, and operated when you turn the key,, this probably just needs cleaning

Thank you so much for the info and getting back to me. There is no key on driver's side door. Would the switch therefore be on the passenger side? And where exactly. Thanks again

Also the boot lock used to lock/ unlock all doors. This now does not do this.

The remote sensor would have done that, I do not think that the key did
