Centre console cup holder / cigarette lighter tray

Has anyone out there ever had the centre console lid stay open?? This morning mine won't shut and i have found a small L shaped pin in the tray. Anybody have any ideas? Any assistance would be appreciated

Hello!

My center console cupholder/cubby cover won't stay shut. A shiny metal L-shaped pin popped off of the interior hinge area...it looks like a modified paper clip. I am not sure how to get it back to where it came from, unfortunately, because I think that would fix the problem.

Does anyone have any experience tinkering with the center console cover mechanism? To be more clear, this is not the armrest.


Can any share how to replace the L shaped pin in the centre console cup holder in my C Class??? ****** thing just came out this morning.

Any help would be appreciated.
