Changing ignition tumbler

Have you taken off the various under panels?

From memory (and I've not done the job you are wanting to do) you have to take away the side panel next to the accelerator pedal, then you can remove the three screw panel above your knees which links to the centre air vent, and it exposes the area above.

Then you need be on your back in a less than ladylike position on the reclined seat looking upward.

but..maybe wait for someone more experienced in case there is an alternative means of access.

You may have to remove the cowl as well as the under dash kick panel, I will take a look this evening

Thanks for that Malcolm, but just to be a pain in the rear, I still don't know how to remove the dashboard fascia to get to the steering lock. It's impossible from below to get to anything.

Well Malcolm, your magic worked.

I read through those instructions and although it didn't go quite to plan, I now have a car that is in perfect working order.
