My uncle has just bought a C220. On the left hand side of the steering wheel there is an up and down arrow button function to scroll through the display settings on the speedometer which include:

1) List of miles done and the current temperature

2) The mileage and and average fuel consumption from the start of the last journey

3) The mileage and average fuel consumption since reset

4) Consumption with a gauge and a petrol pump symbol showing how many miles are left before refuelling

5) Speed of the car (in digital mph)

The only one we'd like to see on start-up is number 5. However the default setting is the first one. Is there anyway to change this so that whenever we start the ignition we get number 5) displayed instead of 1)? It's getting tiresome scrolling through everytime we start the car to get the mph readout

(PS, we've read the manual but can't find out how to change this particular setting and it's driving us mad)

If you scroll up, not down, it should be the next display.

I posted a similar message recently, I think Malcolm is right, you toi get it changed via STAR (whatever that is).
