I always wanted .........P155 OFF .......Just so I could scream past plod cars with it written on me backside

While we're on that subject anyone see that bit in the paper ( oh hang on it was motor cycle news so you'll have missed it) .........anyway this biker got stopped fer havin a "Small" number plate (40 quid fine) so he's had it painted on the arse of his leathers according to strathclyde police he CANNOT be "done" for it it is NOT illegal

Hope he's got a light alluminating it, otherwise he can.

y'Know that wot I thought..........BUT......... because "It is a motor vehicle below 8 CWT it does not need a rear number illumination light, as long as it is fitted with reflective rear facing plates"..........I actually asked a mate of mine in the traffic dept & after some searching he confirmed "Any vehicle having a gross weight of below 8 CWT DOES NOT require a rear number illumination lamp"

When you actually think about it there is no current motor cycle on the road today that DOES have this lamp .........they have a TAIL light with a clear piece inserted at the bottom to shine on the plate!!!!......it is NOT a number plate light!!!

Ive got JIB 4100 on my CL now after leaving it on retention for the last 18 months, JIB being my nick name and all. About to put 321 PPP on the wifes SLK soon.
once saw FUK 1T on a square plate on a bike once, but I didnt think rude words are allowed anymore.

Am thinking of going in for T33 NUP (mirror image of my name), is £250 on the DVLA website.

Whats the best route to get a cherished plate? How does one do it?

Let's just hope they don't see that when they scrape you off the road.

I had an Irish plate GNZ 2122 my name is Gina so it kinda reads Ginaz, PLUS I was born 22nd Jan ie 22 and the 1, and I liked the number sequence too!

Sold the Merc though, with the plate on it, on the look out for another Merc now, maybe a Cossie perhaps?

With my initials being AR, I have M60 OAR on my car, with the spacing convieniently changed to read M60O AR ... cheap and sad, but makes me feel a bit better about myself :p

Just stuck D193 SAM on my '96 E-class - It's my son's plate but he's only 13!! and I'm too tight to pay the annual £25 retention certificate renewal fee every year 'till he's 17!

I also have S177 REG on my Yammy Dragstar - nothing special - unless you are called Reg! - But I'm not.
