Dont know if any one has noticed but Clarkson is wearing a differnt watch each programme this series. I've just got back from hols and sat down to watch them back to back and as I have a unhealthy interest in such things I've noticed this. Last series and many before he always wore an Omega speedmaster and last night he had a huge thing on, probably a Paneri or some thing of that nature. Now I know James May is a collector (Clarkson mentions it in his latest book) and always has some nice things on, last week he had a IWC Portugeuse and I beleive Hammond wears a Tag Monaco. Makes me wonder if he is sponsored by some one, as everyone knows what James Bond done for Omega.

Any veiws on this?

All I noticed that Clarksons watch has huge, if you are only earning £18m a year, maybe you needs the advertising money to top it up

My old Heuer Montreal

is pretty chunky. Maybe the boys in switzwerland would like me to be their poster boy. I come pretty cheap, compared to Hamilton and Clarkson and that Uma Thurman.

He is a clown at the moment to boost his rating before he will be shoved to retirement. He is 48 this year and the year of the rat.

I notice he has a first gen iPhone, I've seen him use it once this series and once last series. Then again I am obsessed with Apple so that would make sense.

I could have sworn that, in the early series, he wore a Breitling Chronomat (I only know because I had one once). I got rid, like him, when people started talking about how nobs have changed from BMW M3s to Audi S4s, and always wear Breitlings.
However, I notice that Tim Needell still has his Brietling Navitimer on a black croc strap.....obsessive? me? Yup, fraid so.
If you want to know who wears what, there's even a celebrity watch-spotters forum. And you all thought you were a trifle obsessive about Mercedes? You want to visit the US watch forums to see true, blind, brand obsession.

I'm quite happy with my Tag Heuer Chronograph F1, it goes with the sporty look of my Merc. Not the most expensive of watches but bought whilst in Switzerland on holiday.

If you magnify it 400% at the bottom right corner, you may see it.

I had a Breitling Chrono, I paid 2k for it off ebay, wore it none stop for three years swam in the sea in it many times, it always look good sold it for 2.5k, made that much sense I've had a couple more one that's on ebay at the moment, also had a RS4 once never knew I would get labelled as a nob because of it.

It's so you can see the name clearer.

Hmmm. Clarkson is wearing a left-handed model on his right wrist.
More anorak from me and I promised I wouldn't.....
A number of the watch companies do market (rare) left-handed models (Panerai, Graham come to mind)
I can't tell what it is, but I'm sure the real horological afficionados could.
But who cares?

How sad is this, I think it's a U-BOAT, The winder is meant to be on that side, may save damaging the back of your hand.

Only a complete pillock would wear a watch the size of a dinner plate. But then come to think of it .......

Clarkson's Watch

The Panerai version of the left handed winder is called the Destro, they were devised for divers as they wore a compass or depth guage on the left wrist so the winder was on the left to allow the watch to be adjusted easily when worn on the right wrist.
I don't think Jeremy is supple enough to adjust his watch whilst it is on his left wrist!!! Also don't think it's a Uboat as I have not seen one with a Roman Numerals.
Another watch anorak I'm afraid. Panerai fan!!
