Hi,

Recently ive been noticing the car jerking whilst applying light throttle, like its hesitating. But as it does this I notice black smoke coming from the exhaust and basically the more it jerks around the more smoke appears.

Its too embarrassing to drive at the minute but before this started it has been perfect. Any ideas???

I think it may be a clogged injector but is there any real way to tell?

Also are there any other things I can do in a attempt of process of elimination?

Thanks for any help I just want to be smoke free again :( (well almost will do)

sounds more like turbo actuator jamming or EGR/inlet swirl flap problem...
do search above things, I'll bet there are lot of info.

Whoose sound? Then check the turbo hoses, attachment and splits (often between turbo and intercooler). If no obvious, try revving stationary and then locate the boost leak.

Yeah could say whooshing but I think the blowers come on?

Had a good look yesterday and the boost pipe that goes to the egr valve/intake manifold has a slit in it.

Changed this at the price of £63!!

But I'm happy it wasnt injectors or anything else :)
