Have a 2003 CLK CDI AUTO. 25K miles on it and had it since December when it was at 17K miles.
Recently from 1st to 2nd, and 2nd to 3rd, the gearchange has become very jerky and clunky (no noise tho). Sometimes when coming to a complete stop, just as you stop, it jerks massivly as it downshifts..
Anyway, had a situation at the weekend where i was accelerating pretty hard and it kicked down..only it actually bounced(?) out of gear..rev counter was bouncing off the limiter and couldnt engage another gear..I tried the Tiptronic, but nothing doing... had to knock it neutral, then re-engage...As a result the engine warning light come on..2 days later the lights gone out but am still getting the jerks.... Any ideas or similar probs? THANKS
