greetings troops,
my clk 430 75k makes a noise that sounds like a hydralic tappet being a bit loose or gummed up, when the car is cold the engine is silent, but when it heats up it produces a slight knocking rather that tapping sound, i have changed the oil and filter ( it was due for a change) and it seemed to quieten down a bit but its still there, it cant be anything major as i have given the car a good hoofing down the motorway in france for a few hours and it did not go bang!
your thoughts please!
