Hi all!
I'm more familiar with the VX220.org.uk forum but recently bought a '04 CLK500 (W209) convertible too, and figured you guys must have the best knowledge of all things Merc? I am really pleased overall but it just doesn't sound like the lovely V8 it is, so would really appreciate some advice:
1) Will the AMG twin exhaust (quad pipes) as fitted onto the CLK55 coupe fit my CLK500 convertible?
2) If so, why do they only put the single oval system on the CLK55 convertible? Is it just to keep the noise down for your average soft top driver?!
3) Do I need that quad system to release the V8 burble or would just changing the back box help?
4) Has anyone used these guys http://www.mercedesperformance.co.uk/
as they seem to have a performance chip that way out performs the Superchips power increase. It is also about 3 or 4 times the price though
Sorry for the list of questions but any advice would be much appreciated. Many thanks,
Stuart
PS: Have tried searching but nothing relevant came up.....may be me though!
