clk wheel bearings

HI all, i have a 320 clk convertible and have a groaning from the front passengeers hub, had 4 wheel alignment today and they said i have a noisy beraing.

is this a diy i could do or is it a garage job? if its a diy does anyone have a step by step???

not sure about diy i had one go on the motorway and it caused a hell of a lot of damage get it sorted A.S.A.P

Groaning is more likely to be balljoints

If you can hear noise from the wheel bearings when spinning the wheel it would suggest the bearing is totally knackered and I wouldn't drive the car at all until it's been replaced

I would be wary of anyone fitting a new wheel bearing that had not done one or two before, find a good indie and get a price for fitting, you could also try having a word with some of the local mb mechanics and get it done after hours at a reduced rate...
