I am experiencing speaker rattle in the rear Bose speaker in the CLK320 2004 model. There appears to be some discussion that this may not be an uncommon problem. I am trying to get the rear speaker out to see if it is blown but it appears the whole parcel shelf needs to be removed.
I have removed the nuts in the top of the boot area that hold the back of the parcel shelf (and rear blind) down, and removed the two plugs from behind the rear seats. But try as I might the shelf still appears to be 'fixed down' some place. Do I need to take the rear side panels off (SRS panels)? what am I missing?
Does anyone have a technical diagram?
