Clutch Pedal Possible Problem.

Hi All

I have a 1998 C230 Kompressor, the clutch pedal feels really weird its like its catching on something, it feels grainy if that makes sense, I have sprayed some WD40 on the pedal and gave it a few pumps but it has not seemed to make any difference.

What sort of mileage is on your car?
I had similar symptons on mine, it turned out to be the clutch itself.

Hi,
When mine was doing with it i speculated that what i was feeling through the pedal was being transferred from the clutch itself.
Mine never slipped at all it just went turned out mine failed due to one side of the friction plate just fell off

Its on 117k the clutch seems strong as ever I have tried the theory of 5th gear 50 miles per hour and then full gas and it pulls fine.

It just seems like it needs oiling or something.
