Command Sat Nav Update. R171 SLK

I have the Sat Nav Update CD. After I have removed the one that is in there, put in the new one and updated. Do I remove the new cd and put in the original one again or just laeve in the new one?

My facelift R171 (08 plate) the nav maps are on the Comand HDD (Comand NTG2.5) and the update is 2 DVD's which I loaded then removed once the update had installed!

Thank you Chris. So you do not leave a disc in as there was one in there when I bought it?

Not sure John, some MB nav systems run from a CD drive in the boot, they need the CD in to work. Best bet, contact comand.co.uk with your VIN so they can check your build sheet and give you chapter and verse, they know more about MB nav systems than MB themselves! They sorted out mine where the main dealer that supplied it then serviced it for the first 6 years had not installed an update to the firmware that they should have done FOC in 2009/10 (MB North Wales)!

Yes mine (Hers) has a CD in the boot. I will do that thanks.

Saw that John, ATM SLK is garaged, battery conditioner attached and SORN'd (sob sob). Will have a look at that when hopefully soon I get her out.
