It is not that I have a little bit too much time on my hands but...

There has been no response from Croydon or Bromley MB dealerships - I emailed both outlets on the 20th Dec and copied my email, which was largely aimed at the frankly pathetic service offered by Bromley.

The mail was copied directly to the MD at Bromley on the 29th Dec but sadly he has not reacted yet.

I just wondered if anyone had managed to find someone at DC UK that would respond to an email from a very disappointed but loyal customer.

I live only yards from DC in Milton Keynes.
Call 01908 245000 and insist that you are put through to the Chief Executive or his deputy. I visited and after speaking with some very helpful guys I managed to get a new replacement car for the original dog I bought. The dealers are a waste of time go straight to DC!

Hi All

So ... if the dealer won't reply then taking your complaint to DC MK will get immediate action? What real power does DC MK have over the dealers?

REGARDS Phil

Less then you would think.

I would try writing to

David Newbury
Mercedes-Benz Retail Operations Director
c/o
Mercedes-Benz Watford
Colne Bridge Retail Park
Lower High Street
Watford
Hertfordshire
WD17 2JG

Both Bromley and Croydon are owned by Mercedes-Benz Retail and the General Managers (they don't have Managing Directors) work for David.

Hopefully this will help.

That's because buybacks are subsidised by DC UK.

I was under the impression that all MB dealers with the M25 are owned by MB/DC all outside are franchised.
I wrote 4 e-mails to Bromley but nil response, it was a minor issue so I never followed it up.
Maldon, are you from Bromley? I am in Bickley>

AAPete - I live in Colchester but work a few days in Beckenham.

I phoned to check the email addy for Bromley yesterday morning - it was correct so I forwarded the mail to Mr Newbury as suggested by DC insider.

Low and behold, reply from Beckers within the hour (although seccy told me that the bloke in Bromley in v important meeting for rest of day).

Get this, first line of response was to blame tech support for the email being lost.

Ha ha.

I will be contacted later with a full explanation....

Interesting development. I had to once again remind Bromley that notwithstanding their 'commitment' to replying to my email 'the next day' a week passed without comment.

I have today been offered the next due service free of charge - excluding consumables.

My faith has been restored...

It is a shame that you had to remind them again but I hope that this has now been resolved to your satisfaction.

DC Insider - the shame is on the GM who intially blamed the techies....

But yes, I am pleased with the outcome.
