I'm about to change one of the core plugs on my 560 SEL.Due to the lack of access to it,I'm going to have to remove the oil pump.Does the oil pump sit above the level of the oil ..or below it,am I going to get drenched in oil as I take it off.Also if I remove the pump will I have to 'prime' it.I'm not taking out the filter,just undoing the bolts that attach it on to the engine block.I got the core plug out,but very little room to replace it with the oil pump in situ.
