Correct Idle Speed?

Hi,

Can anyone tell me the correct idle speed on my 1984 500 SEC.

Generally its at 800 rpm (or slightly below) and sometimes usually when fullt warmed up at just below 500. Either way it extremely smooth etc. and can almost feel as if the engine has stalled but just wondering what it should be set at?

sounds about right....if you have no hunting problems and it ok at idle then it's fine. mine sits slightly above 500rpm

good luck changing though...I'm not sure how, considering it's electronic idle control.
