2.3-16
Hi all, hoping someone can help.
I have bought a 2.3-16 that has been sitting for a very long time. Almost everything's been done except the car still has a cold start issue.
- Plugs replaced, filters replaced all MB Genuine. Fuel pump not replaced yet.
- Takes a good 5mins of constant cranking before it starts.
- the car then idles rough. If you depress throttle the car splutters and stalls.
- After restart, let it warm up for 10mins, and it's ok. But when you start driving, on throttle it's super jerky.
- Once the car has been driving for 30mins, it's fine. It'll start first go, and acceleration is smooth.

Anyone had a similar issue, or any thoughts on how to resolve? Thanks very much, any help is hugely appreciated.
Regards,
Subha

Does sound like a fuelling issue. Fuel pump would be a good start and having the injectors checked

Fuel metering head probably is coked, the injectors maybe goosed as well as the cold start injector failing. The PTC sensors also cause this kind of fault.
